EARLY CHILDHOOD FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Committee on Early Childhood Finance and Policy, called the remote meeting to order at 8:30 AM on February 18, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll call.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Pryor moved that the minutes from February 16, 2021 meeting be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice-Chair Pryor assumed the gavel at 8:33.

Chair Pinto moved that House File 1024 be referred to the Education Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Pinto presented HF 1024.

Chair Pinto renewed his motion that HF 1024 be referred to Education Finance Committee.

There being 10 AYES and 3 NAYS, THE MOTION PREVAILED AND HF1024 WAS REFERRED TO THE EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE.

Chair Pinto assumed the gavel at 9:17.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn moved HF910 be placed in front of the committee to be laid over for inclusion in an Early Childhood omnibus bill.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn moved the A1 Amendment before the committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pinto laid over HF910, as amended, for possible inclusion in an Early Childhood omnibus bill.

Rep. Wazlawik moved HF 668 to be placed in front of the committee to be laid over for inclusion in an Early Childhood omnibus bill.
