STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:31 AM, March 17, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes for March 15, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved that HF3910 be referred to the General Register.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H3910A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Richardson presented HF3910, as amended, Juneteenth, June 19 recognized as state holiday.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF3910, as amended, be referred to the General Register.

The clerk noted the roll.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H3588A4. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Vang presented HF3588, as amended, affordable housing market value exclusion established.

Chair Nelson presented HF4129, as amended, legislature contract for services and supplies allowed, Legislative Salary Council and Mississippi River Parkway Commission enabling statute modified, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities board provision added, and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees Candidate Advisory Council repealed.
