MINUTES

Chair Youakim, Chair of the Property Tax Division, called the remote meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on March 17, 2021, pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hertaus moved the approval of the March 11, 2021 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1787 (Bernardy) Fridley; special rules created for the use of tax increment

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 1787 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Bernardy presented the bill.

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion that HF 1787 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 1903 (Hertaus) Wayzata; TIF District No. 6 rules modified

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 1903 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Hertaus presented the bill.

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion that HF 1903 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 1843 (Carlson) Wind energy and solar energy production tax calculation modified

Representative Marquart moved that HF 1843 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Carlson presented the bill.

Representative Marquart renewed his motion that HF 1843 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 1095 (Hertaus) Manufactured home and manufactured home park classification
modified

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 1095 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Hertaus moved that the HF 1095 A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hertaus presented the bill, as amended.

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion that HF 1095, as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 1812 (Becker-Finn) Indian tribe-owned property exempted

Representative Becker-Finn moved that HF 1812 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Becker-Finn presented the bill.

HF 1735 (Youakim) Renter's credit and homestead credit parameters modified to
increase refunds

Chair Youakim moved that HF 1735 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Chair Youakim moved that the HF 1735 DE1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Youakim presented the bill, as amended.

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 1970 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Carlson presented the bill.
