PROPERTY TAX DIVISION

MINUTES

Chair Youakim, Chair of the Property Tax Division, called the remote meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on February 16, 2022, pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Marquart moved the approval of the February 9, 2022 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Marquart moved the approval of the June 18, 2021 Joint Property Tax Division & Taxes Committee minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2300 (Richardson) Community land trust property classification modified.

Vice-Chair Gomez moved that HF 2300 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Vice-Chair Gomez moved the DE1 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the DE1 amendment was adopted.

Representative Richardson presented the bill, as amended.

Vice-Chair Gomez renewed her motion that HF 2300, as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 1661 (Schultz) Elderly living facilities exempted from taxation.

Representative Marquart moved that HF 1661 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Marquart moved the DE2 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the DE2 amendment was adopted.

Representative Schultz presented the bill, as amended.

Representative Marquart renewed his motion that HF 1661, as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 1429 (Vang) Class 2 land agricultural product definition expanded.

Chair Youakim moved that HF 1429 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Chair Youakim moved the DE1 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the DE1 amendment was adopted.

Representative Vang presented the bill, as amended.

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 2810 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Swedzinski presented the bill.
