Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 AM on January 24, 2023, in Room 200N of the State Office Building

Presentation by Minnesota Interagency Council on homelessness.

Presenting:
• Cathy Ten Broeke, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Director, Minnesota Interagency Council on Homelessness

Presentation by the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MNAAP) on youth homelessness.

Presenting:
• Dr. Janna Gerwitz-O'Brien, MNAAP

HF 444 (Keeler) relating to human services; modifying the Homeless Youth Act; appropriating money.

Vice Chair Keeler moved that HF 444 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the committee Ways and Means.

Vice Chair Keeler moved the HF444A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Keeler presented HF 444 as amended.

Representative Keeler renewed the motion that HF 444 as amended be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
