Representative Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative HEINTZEMAN moved to approve the minutes from Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF742(Norris); A bill for an act relating to environment; prohibiting the use of certain firefighting foam; allowing certain exemptions; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 325F.072, subdivisions 1, 3.

Representative HANSEN moved that HF742 be laid over.

Representative HANSEN moved to adopt an amendment to HF742, the A1 amendment.

Representative HANSEN renewed his motion to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Norris introduced HF742.

HF552(Kotyza-Witthuhn); A bill for an act relating to environment; prohibiting PFAS in juvenile products; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 116.

Representative HANSEN moved that HF552 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce Finance and Policy.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn introduced HF552.

HF372(Hollins); A bill for an act relating to environment; requiring notice of products containing PFAS; requiring rulemaking; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 116.

Representative HANSEN moved that HF372 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce Finance and Policy.

Representative Hollins introduced HF372.
