HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on January 26, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Bahner moved that the minutes of January 24, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation from the Department of Human Services over Governor Tim Walz’s DHS budget recommendations for the 2024-2025 Biennium.

• Marshall Smith – CEO in Direct Care and Treatment, DHS
• Kulani Moti – Inspector General, DHS
• Natasha Merz – Assistant Commissioner for Aging and Disability Services, DHS
• Eric Grumdahl – Assistant Commissioner for Behavioral Health, Housing, and Deaf-Hard-of-Hearing Services, DHS

The meeting was adjourned at 2:44 PM.
