MINUTES

Representative Michael Nelson, Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:01 PM on March 14, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Representative Mekeland moved to approve the minutes from March 9, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 406 (Berg); Carbon monoxide alarm requirements modified for hotels and lodging houses, and safety warning for violation required.

Vice Chair Berg moved that HF 406 be re-referred to the General Register.

Vice Chair Berg moved the A23 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Berg presented HF 406, as amended.

The following testified on HF 406:

Vice Chair Berg renewed the motion that HF 406, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1996 (Lislegard); Career pathways program supported and strengthened, and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Hill moved that HF 1996 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Vice Chair Berg assumed the gavel 1:37 PM.

Representative Lislegard presented HF 1996.

Vice Chair Berg renewed the motion that HF 1996 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Vice Chair Berg moved that HF 10 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Vice Chair Berg moved the A23 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lislegard presented HF 10, as amended.
