TAXES MINUTES

Representative Aisha Gomez, Chair of the Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on January 24th, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Norris motioned to move the minutes of January 19th, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 9 (Kotyza-Witthuhn) A bill for an act relating to taxation; individual income; expanding the dependent care credit; establishing the great start child care credit; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, sections 290.0131, by adding a subdivision; 290.067.

Representative Pinto moved that HF 9 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus bill.

Chair Gomez moved the HF0009DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn presented HF 9 as amended.

Chair Gomez renewed Representative Pinto’s motion that HF 9 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:43 PM.
