TAXES COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Aisha Gomez, Chair of the Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on February 16, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 1603 (Norris) Sales and use tax provisions modified, exemption provisions modified for construction materials by certain contractors, and refund provision added.

Vice Chair Norris moved that HF 1603 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Vice Chair Norris presented HF 1603.

Vice Chair Norris renewed the motion that HF 1603 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 1534 (Acomb) Wayzata; sales and use tax provisions modified, and construction materials for city projects sales tax exemption provided.

Chair Gomez moved that HF 1534 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Representative Acomb presented HF 1534.

HF 1623 (Cha) Woodbury; sales and use tax provisions modified, refundable construction exemption provided for building materials for Central Park project, and money appropriated.

Chair Gomez moved that HF 1623 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Representative Cha presented HF 1623.
