MINUTES

Representative Brad Tabke, Vice-Chair of the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 08:30 A.M., on March 7, 2023, in Room 120 of the State Capitol.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Petersburg moved the minutes of March 3, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1997 (Hornstein) Miscellaneous technical corrections made to laws and statutes, and obsolete text and references corrected.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF1997 be referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Hornstein presented HF1997.

Chair Hornstein renewed the motion that HF1997 be referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1998 (Hornstein) Miscellaneous technical corrections made to laws and statutes, and obsolete text and references corrected.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF1998 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Hornstein presented HF1998.

Chair Hornstein renewed the motion that HF1998 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1350 (Tabke) Policy changes made, including to veterans’ license plates, dealer licenses and records, USDOT numbers, and driver’s license applications.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF1350 be referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Hornstein moved the A1 amendment to HF1350. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hornstein moved the A2 amendment to HF1350. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Tabke presented HF1350, as amended.

Chair Hornstein renewed the motion that HF1350, as amended, be referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1822 (Torkelson) Selection process procedures modified for Corridors of Commerce projects.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF1822 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Petersburg moved the A2 amendment to HF1822. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Petersburg moved the A3 amendment to HF1822. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Torkelson presented HF1822, as amended.

Chair Hornstein renewed the motion that HF1822, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in a Transportation Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF2045 (Tabke) Transit enforcement governing requirements amended, transit service intervention project established, working group established, and money appropriated.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF2045, as previously presented and amended on 3/3/2023, be before the committee and referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
