$1.2 Billion Investment in Regional Infrastructure Projects Passes Minnesota Legislature

Sunday, May 17, 2026

St. Paul, MN - Today, the Minnesota Legislature passed a package of Capital Investment legislation that will invest over $1.2 billion in regional infrastructure projects across Minnesota.

The legislative package, made up of state bond and General Fund bills, invests in Minnesota’s most pressing infrastructure needs like clean water, safe roads and bridges, updated public buildings, and the resources and facilities necessary for communities to thrive.

“Every Minnesotan deserves to see their state invest in their community, and they won’t have to travel far to find a project funded by our bipartisan legislation,” said Rep. Fue Lee (DFL - Minneapolis) Co-Chair of the House Capital Investment Committee. “We’re lifting up communities in every corner of the state by improving the resources and public buildings they rely on, and the facilities and amenities that make our state such a great place to live and raise a family - all while creating good-paying jobs. Capital Investment has always been more than just numbers on a spreadsheet, it’s the brick and mortar that builds a better Minnesota.”

The combined spreadsheet of funded projects in the Capital Investment bills can be found here. Video of this evening’s House Floor discussion on the bills can be found on the House Public Information YouTube Channel
