Neighbors,

When I arrived in Saint Paul in January, I knew this would be a consequential session. We have achieved a long list of accomplishments, and I am grateful to everyone who reached out to me this session with their input and suggestions. I appreciate partnerships with local businesses, governments, nonprofits, and residents. We can only succeed when we do this work together.

You can read about many of our budget bills in the non-partisan Session Daily summaries : Veterans and Military Affairs, Housing, Higher Education, Legacy, Agriculture, Early Education, Public Safety and Judiciary, K-12 Education, Jobs and Labor, Environment and Energy, Commerce, State Government and Elections, Human Services, Taxes, Transportation, Health, Capital Investment, Cannabis, and Paid Family and Medical Leave.

Also on the final day of session, the House and Senate both approved the Capital Investment infrastructure bills, which are now on their way to Gov. Walz for his signature. The measure includes funding for Mankato State University’s Armstrong Hall, the Mankato Wastewater Treatment Facility and the St. Peter Security Hospital Sunrise building remodel. These are all important and much needed projects, and I am very pleased our efforts were successful to include them as part of the package.
