ST. PAUL, MN—State Representative María Isa Pérez-Vega (DFL-St. Paul), Chair of the House St. Paul Delegation, released the following statement:
“This $320 million plan is an overdue and essential investment in the foundational revitalization of downtown St. Paul, stretching from the city center to the river’s edge. It is clear that we need a unified, multi-level government response to support economic growth in our capital city.
“As a member of the House Children and Families and Capital Investment committees, I will continue to advocate for state legislative efforts that ensure our downtown remains vibrant for our children’s future and accessible for our aging communities. I will continue to work closely in partnership with city, county, and state leaders to ensure St. Paul remains a premier destination for enterprise, entertainment, and tourism. Our residents deserve nothing less. This is a top priority for my office, and I remain committed to working with the legislature to secure the funding necessary to bring this plan to fruition.”
