“The governor’s statement this morning continues a familiar pattern of shifting blame away from himself and onto Washington. That is the Democrat playbook. Point elsewhere, distract, and avoid accountability.
In his remarks, Governor Walz even frames the criminal abuse of taxpayer dollars as a consequence of the state’s generosity. That framing ignores the core issue: a failure of oversight and leadership.
If the governor recognizes he's not fit to continue leading, the appropriate step is to resign immediately. And, as we look ahead, Minnesotans should be clear-eyed: simply swapping out one Democrat for another will not fix these problems. The same party that presided over this failure cannot credibly claim to be suddenly tough on fraud. Voters won’t be fooled.
I will continue holding government accountable by exposing corruption and advancing legislation that safeguards people’s hard-earned income.”
