St. Paul, MN — The League of Minnesota Cities has recognized Rep. Patti Anderson (R–Dellwood) as a 2025 Legislator of Distinction for her work during the 2025 legislative session to support local government and protect city decision-making authority.
Rep. Anderson was honored for her accessibility, collaboration, and advocacy on behalf of cities, particularly her efforts to oppose preemptive land use and zoning legislation. Drawing on her experience as a former city official, Anderson consistently elevated local voices and worked to preserve cities' rights to govern their own affairs.
“I’m honored to receive this recognition from the League of Minnesota Cities,” said Anderson. “I’ve always believed that the best decisions are made closest to the people, and I’ll continue to defend local control and support the important work of our cities.”
The Legislator of Distinction award is approved annually by the League’s Board of Directors and honors lawmakers who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to building strong state-local partnerships.
