Duluth, MN - Today, members of Duluth’s Legislative Delegation sent a letter to Essentia Health CEO Dr. David Herman, calling on Dr. Herman and Essentia’s negotiating team to work in good faith with its clinic nurses and Advanced Practice Providers.
“As members of the Duluth Legislative Delegation, we write to express our deep disappointment in the way Essentia Health has approached negotiations with its clinic nurses and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs),” the letter reads. “We urge Essentia to honor the will of its workers, respect their rights, and come to the bargaining table in good faith to put an end to the ongoing strike and ensure providers can return to caring for their patients.”

Members of the Duluth Delegation in the Minnesota Legislature consist of Sen. Jen McEwen (DFL - 8), Rep. Pete Johnson (DFL - 8A), and Rep. Liish Kozlowski (DFL - 8B).
