Legislative Update from Rep. Sondra Erickson

Friday, July 12, 2019

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Recently, the St. Louis Park city council chose to abandon the Pledge of Allegiance at their council meetings.

When protesters attended a council meeting this week to encourage elected officials to bring back the pledge, council members decided to take time to "study" whether or not it should be recited at the beginning of their meetings.

This shouldn't be a hard decision, the pledge is sacred and I am proud that we open every legislative day with the pledge and a prayer.

Upcoming Event

The Regional Inventors & Entrepreneurs Club will hold their next meeting on July 23rd.

The group helps individuals that are seeking to share ideas and get more information about the first step or next step in starting a business.

The meeting will take place at East Central Energy in Braham. Doors open for networking at 5:30 PM, presentations start at 6:00. There will be a presentation on digital marketing, as well as a business success story. Bring your ideas, inventions, and friends!
