Tuesday, January 3, 2017

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township, took his eighth oath of office to serve in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 90th Legislature convened at the Capitol in St. Paul.

Urdahl was re-elected to serve District 18A in November. He recently was named chairman of the House Capital Investment Committee. Urdahl previously chaired the Legacy Committee and will continue serving that panel in addition to positions with Education Policy, Agriculture Finance, and Ways and Means.

“It’s good to be back at the Capitol with a fresh start and all the optimism the start of a new session brings,” Urdahl said. “Committee work will occupy most of our time early in the session as we consider bills and decide whether they should continue through the legislative process. This is an especially important time of the year for citizens to be engaged and provide input on the issues.”

Urdahl said he encourages local citizens to in District 18A to contact his legislative office this session by calling (651) 296-4344 or by emailing rep.dean.urdahl@house.mn. Urdahl also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them at his official state website: www.house.mn/18a.
