Urdahl continues role as top House Republican on bonding

Friday, December 2, 2022

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township, has gained an appointment to remain the lead Republican on the House’s Capital Investment Committee for the 2023-24 biennium.

Urdahl chaired the House’s Capital Investment Committee in 2017-18 before taking on the lead minority role the last four years. Urdahl is entering his 11th term in office and his 10th term serving committees on capital investment.

“There are significant infrastructure needs throughout our state and I look forward to working on a bonding bill worthy of broad, bipartisan support in the House,” Urdahl said. “I will continue prioritizing local roads and bridges and water-related projects as we consider proposals and remain good stewards of taxpayer dollars.”

The Legislature convenes Jan. 3 to start the 2023 session at the Capitol in St. Paul.
