ST. PAUL- Following today's floor session, Rep. Pat Garofalo, R-Farmington, released the following statement regarding the motion to suspend rules and take up the steelworker unemployment benefits extension.
"I'm disappointed that we were unable to reach a bipartisan agreement today. I'm confident and optimistic that this bill will eventually pass with bipartisan support. I look forward to these actions taking place sooner, rather than later."
