ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Pat Garofalo, R-Farmington, has been named chair of the Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, appointed by House Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt after Republicans regained control of the legislature following the 2014 election. Garofalo previously served as the GOP Lead on the Energy Policy Committee during the 2013-2014 session.
"I look forward to working with Governor Dayton and Senators Tomassoni and Marty," Garofalo said. "Together we can create more good-paying jobs and modernize Minnesota's energy policy to allow for both cleaner and more affordable energy."
Full Committee assignments will be revealed in the coming weeks. The 2015 legislative session will begin January 06, 2015.
