Conference Committee Meeting on Minimum Wage Bill Scheduled for Tomorrow

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

St Paul, Minnesota – Tomorrow, the Conference Committee on minimum wage will be holding a hearing to gather input from members of the public. The House and Senate each passed a bill to increase Minnesota’s minimum wage last session, but failed to come to an agreement on several key details.

Rep. Ryan Winkler, author of the House bill, is hoping to see swift progress this session.

“There has been growing support in Minnesota and across the country on this issue,” said Winkler. “This meeting will give members of the public an opportunity to offer their perspective as we continue to discuss the details of the final bill. Hopefully it puts us on schedule to move a final bill through the Legislature in the next couple weeks.”

Those interested in testifying can contact Committee Administrator Matthew Bergeron at matthew.bergeron@house.mn.
