REP. PAUL ANDERSON TAKES HOUSE OATH

ST. PAUL – Rep. Paul Anderson performed his fifth oath of office to serve in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 90th Legislature convened at the Capitol to start the 2017 session.

The Republican farmer from Starbuck is serving his second term as chairman of the House Agriculture Policy Committee. He also will be on Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance; Property Tax and Local Government Finance; and Agriculture Finance committees.

Anderson’s said the House’s swearing-in process once again was a humbling experience.

“Opening Day in the Legislature always is special,” Anderson said. “I definitely feel a sense of gratitude for the people having once again put their trust in me as their representative at the Capitol. We again face a number of serious challenges and I look forward to continuing doing my best to represent the people of our area as we take on the issues.”
