For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
With the busyness that often comes during the Christmas season, it is important that we remember the true reason for why we celebrate—the birth of Christ. Please make sure to take time this Christmas to spend time with family and friends, reflecting on what is most important.
When I pause to think about what’s important in my life, I’m reminded of the wonderful family, friends, and neighbors I have.
As we celebrate Christmas with our closest family members and friends, I want to thank the brave men and women who are away from their loved ones serving our country in uniform around the world to keep us safe. Thanks to their sacrifice, we are able to celebrate freely, here in the greatest country on earth.
Additionally, thank you to our law enforcement officers—for your sacrifice and bravery in keeping our communities safe.
In closing, please remember to pray for the less fortunate this Christmas season. Those that are without family or dealing with hardships in their lives—that they would feel peace and comfort.
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!
