I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to enjoy some extra time with your loved ones.
This week, I was appointed to serve as the Republican lead on the House Sustainable Infrastructure Policy Committee when the 2023 legislative session begins on January 3rd. This is a new committee, and I am curious to see what direction House Democrats take this group. It makes me wonder if this was an organic decision by the Democrats, or if this is a part of a global movement that is being pushed by Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF previously wrote about sustainable infrastructure. An article from November 2021 entitled "Why the world needs a fresh take on smart and sustainable infrastructure," can be read here.
Time and again, we have seen taxpayer dollars wasted on projects that do not improve the lives of Minnesotans. Billions of dollars have been wasted on the Southwest Light Rail project resulting in a train system that disrupts the flow of traffic and is riddled with crime. More money has been put into bike lanes in recent years than vehicle lanes with no decrease in car traffic.
I will always stand up for what is best for our state and all Minnesotans. In my role as the Republican lead on the Sustainable Infrastructure Committee, I will ensure government is a good steward of your tax dollars.
