Statement from Rep. Mary Franson on the Assassination of Charlie Kirk
Saint Paul, MN - Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically shot and killed yesterday during an event at Utah Valley University. Authorities are investigating the attack and are working to find the person responsible and hold them fully accountable. The following is a statement from Rep. Mary Franson on the tragedy:
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news that Charlie Kirk was assassinated at his event in Utah yesterday. I pray that we remember Charlie for his courage to engage with those who disagreed with him and for his unwavering commitment to the truth he believed in. He was met with unthinkable violence while he worked diligently to encourage civil conversation. My heart goes out to his wife, Erika, their children, and everyone who has been impacted by this horrific act.”
