Saint Paul, MINN— On Tuesday, December 20, 2016, House Republicans unveiled committee assignments for the 2017-2018 legislative sessions. Representative Deb Kiel (R-Crookston) who was named Chair of the Subcommittee on Aging and Long-Term Care late last month, will also serve on the Health and Human Services Reform, Agriculture Finance, Transportation Finance, and the Rules & Legislative Administration committee.

“From tackling issues vital to our state’s aging population to advocating for families and farmers, there are a number of things Minnesotans should be excited about when we resume session next month,” said Rep. Kiel. “I look forward to once again advocating for the people and priorities of Northwest Minnesota, and welcome input from folks about what they would like to see signed into law next session.”

Kiel, who was first elected in 2010, serves District 1B in Northwest Minnesota. The legislative session is set to begin January 3, 2017.
