FOSSTON – State Rep. Steve Green, R-Fosston, issued the following statement after the Clearwater, Hubbard and Becker county boards on Tuesday each approved resolutions asking Gov. Tim Walz to rescind his stay-at-home order.
“It is good to see multiple counties in District 2B take the lead on this and, from what commissioners throughout the region are telling me, it appears many more could be following suit with similar resolutions,” Green said. “Local workers have gone from frustration to anger and now are in despair over being forced to close their doors. Counties are doing the right thing by calling on the governor to put an end to his shutdown. I hope they are able to get the governor’s attention so we can get our economy going again as we, of course, continue taking appropriate steps to keep our citizens safe and healthy.”
