Our area was hit hard by storms yesterday evening, with strong winds and heavy rain causing damage to many homes, farms, and businesses. As we begin to clean up from the devastation, I want you to know my office is ready to assist in any way we can. In the coming days and weeks, we will have a better idea of what resources are or will be available to victims of storm damage.

I know that our community and state will do what we always do after these types of storms—help our friends and neighbors with cleanup efforts, and do what we can to support each other as we get back on our feet. A storm can batter our houses and flood our basements, but it can't break our community and the bonds that hold it together.
