Rep. Kresha Leads Effort to Recognize August 19th as Minnesota Aviation Day
St. Paul, MN — Representative Ron Kresha (R - Little Falls), working with Representative Joe Schomacker (R - Luverne), have coordinated to recognize August 19th as Minnesota Aviation Day. This announcement is the culmination of months of dedication to making this celebration possible. The designation underscores the essential role aviation plays in Minnesota’s economy, workforce, and community connectivity.
“Minnesota’s airports, general aviation, and aviation companies contribute over $19 billion to the state economy,” said Rep. Kresha. “This robust industry continues offering economic growth to communities and exciting, competitive career opportunities for our next generation of aviators. This proclamation recognizes August 19th as Minnesota Aviation Day and is a commitment to growth and opportunity for Minnesota Aviation.”
Minnesota is home to hundreds of public-use airports, dozens of aviation-related companies, and a growing network of training programs for pilots, mechanics, and other aviation professionals. With the proclamation, August 19th will be the 2025 Minnesota Aviation Day to celebrate the contributions of aviation to Minnesota’s economy and communities.
Rep. Kresha is committed to championing aviation in the years ahead and will offer legislation in 2026 to designate August 19th as an annual Minnesota Aviation Day.
