RELEASE: Rep. Petersburg congratulates local Farm Families of the Year

WASECA, MN—Rep. John Petersburg, R-Waseca, issued the following statement congratulating area 2015 Farm Families of the Year. The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine and recognizes families from Minnesota's 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2015 Farm Family Recognition Program took place yesterday at Farmfest.

 

"I want to congratulate Loren and Beverly Krause and their family from Steele County, as well as the family of Jason and Kathy Witt from Waseca County on being recognized as the 2015 Farm Families of the Year. Our communities rely heavily on agriculture and the jobs and economic development that stem from this important industry. It's great to see them recognized for their important work and dedication to agriculture."
