News from Representative Petersburg 07-15-2014

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

Dear Friends,

I hope your summer is going well, and that you had an enjoyable Independence Day. This will be my final email update for 2014, as state law prohibits mass mailings and email updates such as these after July 15th through November 4th.

I will however still be able to correspond and answer any emails, letters, or phone calls you have. If you have questions, comments, concerns, please don't hesitate to contact my office by calling 651-296-5368, or emailing me at rep.john.petersburg@house.mn. I remain committed to being there for you in whatever way possible, whether it be constituent work or anything else until my first term officially concludes in January 2015.

It's been a tremendous honor to represent the communities of Owatonna and Waseca at the legislature for the past two years, and I thank you for putting your trust in me to be your voice in St. Paul. During my first term, it was great to work with legislators on both sides of the aisle to make progress on completing the Highway 14 expansion, expanding school lunch funding for low income students, and many other bipartisan efforts.

These issues may not grab all the headlines, but they have real impacts on our community, and in the case of Highway 14 are an important step forward toward the long-term goal of completing this important project.

I hope you'll stay in touch as summer continues. I hope you've found these occasional updates informative and useful. As always, you can reach me at any time by email, phone, or mail. Your input is always helpful and welcomed.

Have a great summer,

John Petersburg
State Representative, District 24A
