I hope you and your families had a great 4th of July. I enjoyed seeing so many in both Prinsburg and Spicer this past weekend. I hope it was a time to be with family and friends and to reflect on the blessings bestowed on our nation and the pride many of us have when the glorious Red, White and Blue is flying so proudly.
Also, I’d like to thank the thousands of people that stopped by the Vietnam Memorial Wall at Robbins Island in Willmar this past week. The wall is a powerful memorial to the brave men and women that paid the ultimate price in defending our freedom. God bless them and their families for their selfless sacrifice.
Staying in Touch
We had some powerful storms roll through Kandiyohi County this week and I'm glad that no one was hurt as a result. It reminded me that all of us need information in order to be prepared during these summer months when storms can come at any time. Click here to take a look at the Minnesota Department of Commerce Disaster Guide. In the unlikely case you have severe damage to property, you can use this resource for information and support.
When I’m not in St. Paul, I am attending meetings to give updates on the status of session, listening to issues that always need improving, sharing ideas with mental health and opioid prevention professionals, and meeting with constituents and leaders to ensure we continue striving towards our goal of a better Minnesota. I'm still waiting to return to St. Paul if the Governor calls us back to work.
I will soon be wrapping up e-mail updates for the season, but will continue to check my email inbox for messages from you if you have issues, questions or ideas we can bring to the next session in January 2017. So please, do not hesitate to continue to reach out to me.
I hope to see you and your family soon! Have a great summer and thank you very much for allowing me to be your representative!
