Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It's Sunday night and we are moving forward with sending good bills that appear to have support from the Senate and the Governor's office. We have been adjusting large budget bills and so far we are moving the Natural Resources and Environment bill and recently passed the Legacy Funding and Higher Education bills, both with bipartisan support!
We are here as long as it takes to present the governor with bills we think he will sign so we can wrap things up in a very timely manner. Bringing 201 elected officials to agreements can be challenging and I have to say we are all sharing ideas and challenging positions to do what's best for our citizens. I am still hopeful we can do this before we adjourn tomorrow at 11:59pm.
