RELEASE: Rep. Baker Statement on Public Facilities Authority Loan for Willmar Water Infrastructure Project

Friday, October 5, 2018

WILLMAR, MN – On Friday, the Public Facilities Authority (PFA) announced a $1.82 million Clean Water Revolving Fund loan to the city of Willmar to replace the Fairgrounds, Gorton Avenue and Armory wastewater lift stations.

“This loan is great news for Willmar, and will save the city over $200,000 when these wastewater lift stations are replaced,” said Rep. Dave Baker, R-Willmar. “I look forward to these projects getting underway to ensure our residents continue to have access to the clean drinking water they need and deserve.”

The Minnesota Public Facilities Authority provides financing and technical assistance to help communities build and maintain infrastructure that protects public health and the environment and promotes economic growth. Since inception in 1987, the PFA has financed $4.5 billion in public infrastructure projects in communities throughout Minnesota.
