Legislative Update - January 25, 2019

Friday, January 25, 2019

Dear neighbors,

Earlier this month I was sworn into the House of Representatives with my two favorite people by my side. I’m honored to be representing our community for a second term!

Committee Hearings Begin

The past few weeks have been filled with constituent, advocate, and committee hearings. I am Vice Chair of the Labor Committee and will also be serving on Government Operations, Jobs and Economic Development Finance, and Transportation Finance and Policy. How to Follow Bills

Though the session has just started, there are several great bills already being considered. I introduced six bills this week. These include House File 263, a proposal to study how volunteer efforts can address community challenges and opportunities, and House File 239, which would provide funding for a public safety training facility in Anoka County. You can read more about the bills that I’ve authored or co-authored here. If you’d like to follow these bills or others through the legislative process, the MyBills tracker is a great tool.
