SAINT PAUL – State Rep. Dave Lislegard (DFL – Aurora) issued the following statement in response to Governor Tim Walz’s announcement of the next phase of Minnesota’s COVID-19 response:
“I applaud Governor Walz for upholding his commitment to turn the dials and allowing businesses to open when public health conditions indicate it’s responsible to do so. I’m grateful the governor’s plan protects workers, and I’m confident employees and businesses will collaborate to implement effective safety plans. I’m also confident the administration will continue to work and find the right roadmap for the remaining businesses and places of worship to open their doors soon, and safely.
“There are still deep difficulties remaining, and as long as this pandemic sticks around, Minnesotans’ health and wellbeing must remain top of mind. Hard sacrifices from Minnesotans and our strong public health response have enabled us to reach this milestone. This announcement is one step toward leading our way out of this crisis, together.”
