SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., the House Transportation Committee will hold a hearing about pedestrian safety concerns at Highway 7 and Galpin Lake in Shorewood. Mayor Jennifer Labadie’s presentation will be one part of a larger committee discussion around how the legislature can enhance pedestrian safety across the state. Rep. Kelly Morrison (DFL – Deephaven) has authored legislation that would provide a combination of sidewalk and trail along the eastern side of Galpin Lake Road between Highway 5 and Highway 7. No official action will be taken during the meeting.
