|   Governor's Budget ProposalGovernor Walz has been rolling out various components of his budget proposal over the past two weeks. With a $17 billion surplus, his proposal includes a variety of tax cuts and investments to lower costs and address critical deficiencies Minnesotans are facing. You can read more details here. We’re working judiciously in the House to build our own two-year budget blueprint, and the Administration’s proposal is a good starting point for us to work off of as we fine tune the components of our shared goals to help Minnesotans.   Voting is now open to name a Minnesota Department of Transportation snow plow! After more than 10,000 name ideas were submitted, MnDOT has narrowed the list down to 60 finalists—and now it’s time to pick up to 8 favorites! Cast your vote here.    Fire and Ice Festival CanceledDue to unsafe ice conditions on Parker’s Lake, Plymouth’s Fire and Ice Festival has been canceled on February 4. Learn more from the City of Plymouth’s website here.   District 42 Town Hall- Save the Date!On Saturday morning, February 18 Senator Westlin, Rep. Carroll, and I will host a community town hall for our area residents at Plymouth City Hall. We’ll provide a brief update from the Capitol and then go to questions. The event is nonpartisan, and everyone is welcome.
