Your Friday Update from the Office of Representative Brad Tabke:

Following the success of our inaugural Youth Advisory Council meeting last month, Rep. Tabke and student members will host another meeting of the council this Monday, November 18. The meeting will take place again at the Shakopee Public Library from 7-8:30pm, and is open to residents age 18 and younger (parents and guardians are welcomed to accompany).

During this meeting, Rep. Tabke will be joined by a  Rep. Samantha Vang (DFL–Brooklyn Center), former Rep. Drew Christensen (R–Savage), Hastings School Board Member Kelsey Waits, and Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus Political Director Rob Doar, who will all be featured during a student-led Q&A. You can find more information on our Facebook event page.

Later in the week, Rep. Tabke will also hold the first meeting of the Senior Advisory Council. After a legislative session that established enhanced rights in elder care and tax cuts to social security, this meeting will aim to address the issues our seniors care about, and the legislation that impacts their lives.

The council will meet at the Shakopee Public Library on Wednesday, November 20, at 10am. You can find more information on our Facebook event page.  If you have any questions about either advisory council, please reach out to Rep. Tabke’s office at (651) 296-8872, or rep.brad.tabke@house.mn. We hope to see you there!
