Your Friday Update from the Office of Representative Brad Tabke:

On Wednesday, Governor Walz announced that he has included two local Shakopee projects that Rep. Tabke brought forward in his 2020 public works proposal.

The first project would provide funding for construction of a pedestrian bridge over Highway 169, completing a major trail connection between Southbridge and Quarry Lake Park. The second project would stabilize the Minnesota riverbank and build a cultural corridor from highway 101 to Memorial Park. The project is the result of collaboration between the City of Shakopee, Scott County, Three Rivers parks, and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.

Rep. Tabke will continue working with Sen. Eric Pratt to secure inclusion of several other Scott County projects in the final Bonding Bill.
