Update From Rep. Tabke: Scott County’s First Confirmed Case of COVID-19

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Tabke

With the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Scott County, we wanted to provide a refresher on the information we currently have, best practices from the Minnesota Department of Health(MDH), and other helpful links.

MDH is providing daily updates on the status of the virus in Minnesota. This includes the number of tests conducted, the number of positive cases in the state, and a list of counties with confirmed cases. We currently stand at 3038 tests89 positive cases, and 19 counties with confirmed cases. You can find these daily updates here.

As we continue to work together in these challenging times, please implement and share these recommendations to keep our communities healthy:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently;
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth;
  • Stay home when sick;
  • Implement social distancing, keeping 6 feet away from others under most circumstances;
  • Encourage staff to telework when feasible;
  • Limit gatherings with participants at high risk for severe disease to less than 10 people.
