Bills are being introduced, committees are already hearing them, and we’re starting to build the base for what should prove to be a very eventful and fruitful legislative session for Minnesota. This biennium, I’m excited to share that I’ll be serving as Vice Chair of the House’s Transportation committee, in addition to my seat on the House’s Agriculture, Public Safety, and Commerce committees. I am also deeply honored to have been elected by my peers to serve as an Assistant Majority Leader. It’s a new role for me, but I’m looking forward to building upon our past legislative accomplishments to help lead the Minnesota House in a direction that builds a better Minnesota. Priorities to Move Minnesota ForwardLast November, Minnesotans were loud and clear. They’re tired of the gridlock and hateful rhetoric that too often got in the way of meaningful accomplishments for our state. I’m proud of the bipartisan solutions we were able to produce during the 2019-2020 legislative session, especially at the onset of a global pandemic, but too many important proposals were put aside. This session, with new members, some new legislative leaders, and new attitudes, I’m excited to share the priorities the Minnesota House and Senate will be working on together. |
