I hope to see you tomorrow!   Rebate Check Delivery Begins this WeekThis year, our completed work included rebate checks for Minnesotans as a part of our approved, balanced two-year state budget. The legislation we passed provides payments to eligible Minnesotans of: - $520 for married couples filing a joint 2021 income or property tax return with an adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less.
 - $260 for all other individuals with a 2021 adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less.
 - Another $260 for each dependent, up to three dependents.

Direct deposit payments will go out first, followed by paper checks in the mail. The Minnesota Department of Revenue expects the nearly 2.1 million rebate payments to be initiated by the end of September. Please feel free to reach out to my office if you have questions or if you haven’t received your check by the end of next month. More information on these rebate checks can be found on the Department of Revenue’s website.    Delivering Funding for Shakopee’s Nursing HomesOn Aug. 1, local nursing homes received a significant amount of new state funding as part of a $173 million bipartisan agreement to stabilize a sector of the economy that is facing financial hardship. Local nursing homes will receive another significant one-time payment on Aug. 1, 2024. Building upon our efforts this year to support our most vulnerable Minnesotans and the workers who care for them, the legislature appropriated record amounts of funding for our state’s nursing homes, including Shakopee’s Friendship Manor and St. Gertrude’s. Nursing homes have been hit hard the last few years, and I was proud to vote for investments that will benefit these residents and workers.
