I hope to see you there!

Covering Prosthetics in Health Insurance

Thank you so much to Logan (4th grade), his dad, and Aaron Holm from Wiggle Your Toes for joining us in the Commerce Committee this week, advocating for prosthetics being included in health insurance. I’m incredibly proud to co-author this bipartisan bill.

Wiggle Your Toes

Your health insurance should cover your health needs, plain and simple. That’s why I joined the bill’s author, Rep. Erin Koegel, in fighting for prosthetic and orthotic devices to be covered by your plan. Thanks to the advocacy of Minnesotans like Logan, we passed this bill through its first committee and are only building momentum!

2024 Tax Changes

This Tax season, make sure you’re taking advantage of the new changes we implemented last year - changes that made Minnesota’s tax system the most equitable among US states, with several new credits, refunds, and exemptions now available.

101 Environmental Projects

Yesterday on the House Floor, we passed legislation I co-authored to fund 101 projects across our state that protect our wildlife, water, air, and soil.

Minnesotans take pride in our legacy of environmental stewardship, and thanks to the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, even though the vast majority of us won’t win big playing the lottery, the proceeds from it ensure our environment and natural resources are protected for generations to come.

ENRTF

The 2024 Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund Bill includes funding for environmental education projects, climate change and natural resources research, clean water resources, invasive species response, conservation land acquisition, and habitat protection and restoration projects. A full list of projects can be found here.

Be sure to contact my office if you’d like to stop by the Minnesota House to talk about legislation! This week, I met with the fine folks from AFSCME to talk about how we can support the Minnesotans working at the Shakopee correctional facility.

AFSCME

If you have any questions about the bills we’re passing off the House Floor, the new Tax changes made for this year, bills I’m working on, or next week’s Town Hall, always free to reach out!

I look forward to hearing from you!
