Capitol Newsletter from Rep. Spencer Igo

Friday, February 12, 2021

Dear Neighbors,

I hope you have been able to stay warm during this latest cold spell!

This week, I recorded two videos discussing legislation I have introduced in the past week that is important to the Northland.

The first is legislation to make Minnesota a mining-friendly state.

We are blessed with rich natural resources that are bountiful across our state. Let's mine these resources responsibly and add value to our communities and economy through good-paying jobs for the Northland!

The second bill deals with wolf management.

We here in our Northland know the importance of being good stewards of the environment. It is no surprise that the wolf population in Minnesota has grown and flourished and with that, it has come time to manage this population to protect not only our family pets and livestock, but our entire ecosystem.
