Minnesota Queer Legislators Caucus Announce 2024 Legislative Priorities

Thursday, February 15, 2024

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Today, the Minnesota Queer Legislators Caucus proudly unveils its legislative agenda for 2024, focusing on protecting and empowering the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, ensuring equitable access to life-saving healthcare, and promoting laws that reflect the diverse realities of Minnesota families.

The Queer Legislators Caucus released the following statement:

“Recognizing that past systems have neglected 2SLGBTQIA+ Minnesotans, particularly in healthcare and family life, the Minnesota Queer Caucus will continue to build our momentum in 2024. Building on 2023's successes, we will focus on implementation and partnerships to ensure accountability, accessibility, and tangible improvements for a more inclusive and equitable Minnesota, where every family thrives regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or background. The opportunity before us includes families of all kinds, encompassing the diverse tapestry that strengthens our state. It's time for policies that reflect this reality, safeguarding children and guaranteeing dignity and respect for all families.”

The Queer Caucus is composed of members of the Minnesota State House and Senate who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+. The Queer Caucus works to advance and protect the rights of the whole Queer community, as well as the rights of our intersecting communities.
