Witte Takes Oath of Office, Announces Committee Assignments for 2025-2026 Legislative Session ST. PAUL — Minnesota's 2025 Legislative Session officially began today as Representative Jeff Witte (R – Lakeville) and 66 other Republican state representatives took the oath of office during a ceremony held at the State Capitol in St. Paul. “I’m truly honored to have the opportunity to continue representing the people of District 57B,” said Witte. “The trust my constituents have placed in me means a lot, and I’m committed to working hard every day to make sure their voices are heard. I take this responsibility seriously, and I’ll do my best to fight for the needs of our families, farmers, law enforcement officers, first responders, and small businesses. My focus this session is on delivering real solutions that make a positive impact on our communities.” Most of Representative Witte’s work during the first months of session will occur in House committees. For the 2025-2026 legislative biennium, Rep. Witte will serve as the Republican Vice Chair on the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee. He has also been assigned to serve on the Taxes Committee. “I’m excited to get to work to build on the progress we’ve made for our district,” Witte continued. “As we tackle the challenges ahead, I’m focused on finding commonsense solutions that strengthen our economy, improve public safety, and ensure our communities thrive. Together, we can make Minnesota a great place to live, work, and raise a family.” Representative Witte encourages his constituents in District 57B to stay involved and reach out if they have any legislative questions or concerns. He is always ready to listen to those he serves and values their ideas and feedback. Rep. Witte can be reached at 651-296-4240 or via email at rep.jeff.witte@house.mn.gov.
