Rep. Gillman Education Provision Passes off House Floor

St. Paul, MN – Representative Dawn Gillman (R – Dassel) is proud to have her House File 1187 bill language included in the Education Omnibus that was just passed off the House Floor. This is legislation that will provide students with certainty that the classes they are taking for Postsecondary Education Option will also count for high school credit.

“We want our students to be as successful as possible and expanding this option gives them certainty that the classes they are taking will help them towards high school graduation.” Said Rep. Gillman on the provision. “I am glad this will provide more opportunities for our students who want to get ahead as they plan their educational futures.” Once signed by the governor this change will be go into effect on July 1st, 2023 and be available for students next school year.
